Notes for ECU of Electronically Controlled Diesel Engine

Electrical components and wiring harness of electronically controlled diesel engine must keep dry and off water, oil and dust. The routine maintenance of common rail electronically diesel engine should be noted the following:
1. Please remember to turn off ignition switch before plugging connector plugins of pluggable wiring harness and its sensor or executor, and then do the routine maintenance for the electrical department of diesel engine.
2. Ignition switch should be tuned off before closing. Because ECU needs a period of time to store the operating state parameters of engines after turning off ignition. It’s suggested to disconnect the ignition for 10 seconds and then turn off the power switch. The power switch should be connected before connecting power and ignition, and then connect the ignition switch.
3. The normal working voltage range of electronic control fuel injection system is 18 to 34V, but the battery’s voltage should keep between 22 and 26V.
4. It is forbidden to flush electronic control spare parts of engine with water. Turn off the power switch if some electrical parts, such as ECU or wiring harness, are soaked accidentally. Then notify the maintenance personnel to process immediately. Don’t operate the engine.
5. Wipe accumulated oil and dirt of diesel engine with clean soft cloth regularly, and keep connector parts of wiring harness and its sensor or executor dry and clean. The oil splashed on the connector of pump should be dried with soft cloth immediately after changing high pressure oil tube or discharging the air.
6. All the connectors are made from plastic material. Thus, rough operation is banned while installing or plugging out. Make sure that the locking positioning is inset in right place and keep sundries off the socket.
7. Pay attention to the maintenance of whole circuit. If you find the wire is aging, in poor contact or with peeling layer, change it timely. The whole replacement of sensor must be done by professional maintenance personnel. Do not simply docking or maintenance in the car by yourself. Main power and all plugs on ECU must be disconnected during the working of welding.
