Hybrid power automobile means that the automobile has more than two power sources: accumulator, fuel cell, solar cell and internal combustion engine. At present, hybrid power automobile refers to automobile equipped with internal combustion engine and accumulator.
Advantages of hybrid power automobile:
1. Because of hybrid power, the maximum power of internal combustion engine can be determined by average power. The engine can operate under the condition of low oil consumption and less pollution. When high power is required and internal combustion engine is under power, the accumulator can supplement insufficient power. When accumulator has few loads, liberal power can be used to generate electricity for charging accumulator. Internal combustion engine can operate steadily and accumulator can be charged constantly. Journey of hybrid power automobile is the same as general automobile.
2. Due to accumulator, energy is expediently recycled during braking, downgrading or idling.
3. In urban, internal combustion engine can be shut off and automobile is driven singly by accumulator, realizing zero-emission.
4. Internal combustion engine gets over difficulties faced with by blade electric vehicle in air-conditioning, heating and defrost having high energy consumption.
5. Current gasoline station can be used without other investments.
6. Accumulator is maintained under a good working condition in case of over charge or discharge, having long service life and low cost.
Hybrid power refers to that the automobile is driven by both gasoline and electricity. The advantage is that automobile is only driven by electric generator, when it starts or stops. The engine cannot operate without definite velocity. Nevertheless, the best working condition of engine is always maintained. The engine has good dynamic property and low discharge. What’s more, electric comes from engine, just only demanding gasoline.
